I've been working on this design for a while with my customer Natalie, which I first designed customized Save the Date luggage tag inserts last year. My tropical beach design is packed full of colour, beach shells, coral, fish and tropical flowers and leaves, which is perfect for their destination wedding in Maui, Hawaii. I've added some gold glitter in the design for a pop of bling! I'm in love with this design! I also made a cute little tag for the monogram and tied it up with pink raffia and added some gold ribbon.
When Natalie received the invitations she was extremely happy and said: "Sandra has done it again! Working with a loose and somewhat contradictory theme of vibrant tropical, with some shells and starfish, the designs created by Sandra for our wedding invitation suite came out better than I could ever imagine. With this orca whale, I've used a watercolour background and a whale illustration. The result is a soothing blue coastal design. I'll be designing similar invitations of watercolour for underwater mammals, so keep posted!
Can you believe this invitation as well! It's my Key West interpretation right down to the bountiful roosters! Soft pastel watercolour backgrounds along with the tropical elements and wooden sign based on the country location sign seen in Key West all form part of this lovely beach inspired invitation. I have been to Key West and touched that sign that states "90 miles to Cuba"! My customer, Lauren wrote to say: "Sandra! These are absolutely amazing! We've never seen anything like these before. They are so unique and fit our Key West destination wedding perfectly. You were an absolute pleasure to work with start to finish.
